Meet Brewster (who responds to Ronin) - a 55 lb Boxer mix with a heart of gold and just enough bounce to keep things interesting. He may have some of that classic Boxer look and he will greet you with an excited jump (he's so happy when his person comes home!), but overall, Brewster is a calm and easygoing gentleman.
His energy level hovers between low and medium, usually matching the vibe of his home. This makes him a great fit for families with children-he's mostly indifferent to kids until gently encouraged to play, and then he'll join in with good-natured fun.
The only behavioral quirk his foster mom has noted is the happy jumping and occasional surprise kisses when he catches you at eye level. It's all part of his affectionate charm.
Brewster is fixed, up-to-date on vaccines and medications, house-trained, and while he can be crated for short periods, he does much better with a comfy bed or couch and a few chew toys. When his foster mom leaves, he may whine a bit at first but quickly settles-and his joy when she returns is always heartwarming.
He's been great with the resident cats and loves playing tag along the fence with the neighbor dogs. Brewster is very friendly with new dog friends, though he does show some herding tendencies. Since he can be a little intense at first (he's a "velcro dog" with both people and pups), he'll benefit from slow introductions and a little supervision when meeting new canine companions.
To top it all off, Brewster is a smart cookie. He knows all his basic commands and is eager to learn more-training sessions are fun and rewarding for him.
