Dovey was adopted as a tiny kitten and sadly had to be returned shortly after her 7th birthday when she was diagnosed with diabetes. Her adopters military career did not lend itself to insulin injections on a regular schedule. She had a bit of a shock coming to her chaotic foster home after living so long as an only animal. Dovey has come a long way over the past year and a half and is ready to find a forever home of her own. She is an expert snuggler and would love nothing better than to lay on your lap while you work on the computer or read a book. She is co-existing with cats and dogs of all ages and sizes after very slow introductions. She is great with older kids who respect her cues. She hasn't met many tiny humans, but I think they would scare her. Are you looking for a lap cat?? Dovey is your girl! She takes her vetsulin shots like a champ every 12 hours, and her diabetic markers are the best they've been. Give this sweet girl a chance! You won't regret it. She is eligible for our foster to adopt program, and I am happy to answer any questions you may have about her routine!
