Makkari is a stunning white Australian Shepherd mix with a resilient spirit and a heart full of love. She was found homeless along a highway in Southern Illinois, scared and alone, but still gentle and trusting despite her rough start. Makkari is deaf, but she doesn't let that slow her down one bit-she's incredibly intuitive, smart, and eager to connect with the people around her. She's learning to respond to hand signals and is thriving in a safe, structured environment where she feels secure. Makkari is looking for a patient, loving home that can continue to support her as she navigates the world in her own unique way. OPTION ONE: RESERVE A PET IN ADVANCE by filling out an online application at https://wright-wayrescue.org/adoption-application-page
- Our typical turnaround time for applications is within 48 hours.
- An email will be sent to you once your application is approved. This email will include instructions on how to proceed with our reservation process.
- Please note: The location listed in an animal's profile does not indicate where the animal is available for adoption. Almost all of our adoptions are carried out at our Morton Grove facility.
OPTION TWO: COME INTO THE ADOPTION CENTER AND MEET THEM ALL!
The adoption center is located at 5915 W Lincoln Ave in Morton Grove, IL 60053. It is open Thursday & Friday, 4 pm-8 pm and Saturday & Sunday, 11 am-5 pm.
