Good with dogs? Unknown
Good with children? Unknown
Personality: Curious, softy, independent, anxious. We predict Kenai will warm up and show her full personality in a home with plenty of love and patience!
How long will it take to settle into a new environment? A few weeks is expected, but we always recommend following the 3-3-3 rule of adopting:
First 3 days - Your cat may be overwhelmed and may hide, or have a lack of appetite. Give them space and time to adjust in a quiet room with their bed, food, water, and toys. 3 weeks - Your cat may start to settle in and their personality will emerge. 3 months - Your cat should be comfortable and acclimated to your home. They should know their routine and expect meals and enrichment at specific times.
Any special needs or traits an adopter should know? Kenai is a shy cat that prefers to be approached sitting or low to the ground. She is still getting used of movements and humans. Being patient and going by her comfortability is key.
