Meet Fat Boy, a three month old German Shepherd/Pit mix weighing 18 pounds.
Fat Boy is a sweet, soulful pup who was surrendered to animal control through no fault of his own-his previous family just had too many animals. While he might be a little shy at first, it's clear he has a big heart and a gentle, empathetic nature. He's friendly, affectionate, and quietly seeks out love and comfort. Once he feels safe, Fat Boy is all about connection and cuddles. If you're looking for a tender-hearted companion who just wants to be loved, Fat Boy is ready to be your loyal friend. Please remember that Fat Boy is a puppy and puppy behavior comes with the package. They need basic training and potty training along with being provided chew toys to encourage proper chewing habits. All puppies require socializing from a young age to help them become the best, most well-rounded dog they can be.
Did you know YHS offers a "Foster to Adopt" program?
It's a fun way to make sure you and your potential new pet are the perfect match-like a sleepover, but with extra cuddles! Spend a little time together before making things official. It's a win-win! Just stop by the front desk and ask how to get started.
Ready to adopt?
Great news-our spayed/neutered pets are available to go home the same day! You can visit us in person, give us a call, or apply online-whatever works best for you.
For online adoptions please fill out our quick adoption questionnaire here: https://yakimahumane.org/adopt/apply/
Your adoption fee includes:
A lovable new companion, spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations + deworming, flea/tick treatment, rabies vaccine (for pets 3-4 months and older), and microchip with nationwide registration.
