Meet Texas, a two year old Pit mix weighing 64 pounds.
Texas came to us as a stray, but it didn't take long for his bright personality to shine through. Now that he's settled in, this happy-go-lucky guy is showing us just how sweet, smart, and fun-loving he really is! Texas is very friendly and walks nicely on leash with minimal correction. He's treat motivated and already knows commands like "sit" and "down"-a smart boy with a willingness to learn even more! And when he gets excited? Get ready for the zoomies-Texas-style! His playful energy and goofy charm are guaranteed to make you smile. If you're looking for a cheerful companion who's equal parts snuggly and silly, Texas could be your perfect match. He's ready to trade in his days on the streets for a lifetime of belly rubs, treats, and adventures with you. Texas has met another dog while with us and the meet went very well with both dogs enjoying some play time. We always recommend a meet and greet if you have a dog in your house!

A lovable new companion, spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations + deworming, flea/tick treatment, rabies vaccine (for pets 3-4 months and older), and microchip with nationwide registration.
Every adoption helps support YHS and our community spay/neuter programs to end pet overpopulation.
