Meet Kenneth, a two year old Pointer/Border Collie mix.

This handsome 52-pound gentleman is ready to find his forever adventure buddy! Kenneth is a sweet, curious, and friendly pup who's been winning hearts on his walks with his good manners and easygoing attitude. He's doing great with his leash training and loves exploring the world around him-especially when squeaky toys are involved!

Kenneth is the kind of dog who lights up when he's out and about. He enjoys meeting people and greets them kindly on walks. He recently went on a hike with one of our amazing volunteers and was a total star-checking in often, calmly letting others pass, and soaking up the sights with a wagging tail.

Like many dogs coming from a kennel environment, Kenneth has some energy to burn at first, but once he gets moving, he settles in beautifully. He's treat-motivated, already knows "sit," and is eager to learn more. He's also shown friendly, playful interest in other dogs-our staff lovingly call him a "goofy goober" when he's trying to make new friends.

If you're looking for a loyal, active, and affectionate companion, Kenneth could be your perfect match. Come meet him and see how quickly he finds his way into your heart!

A Picture says 1000 words...right? While an animal's picture draws interest, the reality is that as a potential adopter most people would like as much information as possible about a pet. The Yakima Humane Society is an open admission shelter. What does this mean? Over 90% of the pets at the adoption center arrive as strays, no history of behavior or medical care is known. Adding a pet to your family is a big responsibility. Please research carefully and remember that adoption is life saving. Before you go searching for free puppies or puppies for sale, check your local Shelters for available dogs and puppies that have been vetted and are ready to go home. Adopt Don't Shop.
