This sweet 9-year-old Pit Bull weighs 70 pounds of pure kindness and has one mission in life: make friends with everyone she meets. Humans? She loves them. Dogs? She absolutely adores them. In fact, one of Dypso's favorite ways to introduce herself is by gently giving other dogs sweet little kisses. She's basically the neighborhood welcome committee wrapped up in a lovable House Hippo.
Dypso spent her entire life living outdoors with her brother, Groot, until everything changed when their owner sadly passed away. Overnight, she lost the only home she'd ever known. Now she's hoping someone will show her what she's been missing all these years-a cozy house, a soft bed, and the simple joy of being someone's beloved family member.
This gentle girl is low energy, respectful, and wonderfully well-mannered. She walks beautifully on a leash, does great in her kennel, and even knows a few basic commands. She's past all the puppy chaos and has perfected the art of simply enjoying life's peaceful moments.
And if there's one thing that makes Dypso's smile even bigger...
It's water!
This girl is a certified water dog! Whether she's lounging in a kiddie pool with the biggest grin on her face or dreaming about future adventures to lakes and rivers, she's happiest when she can cool off with a splash. Her perfect retirement home would include a fenced yard, a little pool to soak in, and another friendly dog to shower with kisses.
While we'd love for Dypso and her brother Groot to find a home together, what matters most is that she finds the loving family she deserves. She would be thrilled to have another dog in the home because she truly loves canine companionship.
After spending nine years outdoors, Dypso isn't asking for anything extravagant.
