Polly is heart worm positive. Saint Frances Animal Center gives heart worm-positive dogs a 30 day course of antibiotics. If eligible they then receive continual treatment. All dogs in our care are on monthly heart worm prevention, as any dog should be. We are happy to educate and provide any additional information about heart worm positive dogs. Heart worm disease in dogs is a treatable condition, and dogs can go on to live healthy lives and make exceptional companions and family pets.
At this time, if you have any dogs at home, they must come to the facility for a meet and greet.
All dog adoption fees include the animal being micro-chipped, spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccinations, monthly heart worm and flea prevention, and any required medical care while with us.
