Hi I'm Sugar! If you were wondering the answer is yes, staff did give me my name because I'm really that sweet. You see, I really enjoy the company of my human friends, they love me, I love them. I just have a great time getting neck and belly scratches, fed treats, and most of all spending one on one time with my favorite people. I came to Saint Frances Animal Center pregnant, and now that my babies are long gone, and I've been spayed, I'm hoping that someone will give me a chance at the life I deserve. I'm not asking for much. Maybe a warm place to lay my head, and a couch to snuggle with you on. I promise that if you give me a chance, I'll make your life happier than ever.
Sugar is heart worm positive. Saint Frances Animal center gives heart worm-positive dogs a course of antibiotics. They then receive monthly heart worm prevention, as any dog should. We recommend speaking to your veterinarian before adopting a heart worm-positive dog. Heart worm disease in dogs is a treatable condition, and dogs can go on to live a healthy life and make exceptional companions and family pets.
At this time, Sugar is dog selective, meaning she does not get along with every dog that she meets. If you have any dogs at home, they must come to the facility for a meet and greet.
All dog adoption fees include the animal being micro-chipped, spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccinations, monthly heart worm and flea prevention, and any required medical care while with us.
