Meet Winchester! This handsome fellow is on the search for his new family, and he is extremely hopeful for that to be you. Winchester came to us with another dog, who unfortunately is no longer at the shelter with us. He has been having a harder time here at Saint Frances Animal Center being all alone. He is in need of someone to come and cheer him up. Winchester is a great boy, he loves people, other dogs, and making those he loves happy. He enjoys giving hugs and will surely snuggle up with you for a fun movie night! At this time, if you have any dogs at home, they must come to the facility for a meet and greet.
All dog adoption fees include the animal being micro-chipped, spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccinations, monthly heart worm and flea prevention, and any required medical care while with us.
Winchester is heart worm positive. Saint Frances Animal center gives heart worm-positive dogs a course of antibiotics. They then receive monthly heart worm prevention, as any dog should. We recommend speaking to your veterinarian before adopting a heart worm-positive dog. Heart worm disease in dogs is a treatable condition, and dogs can go on to live a healthy life and make exceptional companions and family pets.
