Meet our sweet boy Rango!
Rango was brought to us here at Saint Frances Animal Center by Animal Control with a deeply embedded collar in his neck. Our veterinarian suspected that he was most likely chained outside for a long period of time and chewed his way free. Rango was rushed to our medical team where his collar was removed and his wounded were treated. Despite everything that Rango has been through he is a happy, playful guy who loves everyone. Our staff and volunteers adore him and we are determined to find him the family that he deserves.
At this time, if you have any dogs at home, they must come to the facility for a meet and greet.
All dog adoption fees include the animal being micro-chipped, spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccinations, monthly heart worm and flea prevention, and any required medical care while with us.
Rango is heart worm positive. Saint Frances Animal center gives heart worm-positive dogs a course of antibiotics. They then receive monthly heart worm prevention, as any dog should. We recommend speaking to your veterinarian before adopting a heart worm-positive dog. Heart worm disease in dogs is a treatable condition, and dogs can go on to live a healthy life and make exceptional companions and family pets.
