Our relationship with vet clinic staff who care for our beloved Misfits is truly essential to our rescue mission. As a dedicated rescue focused on medical cases, the compassionate clinic staff often turn to us when they encounter a dog in dire medical distress without anyone to advocate for them. This is precisely the scenario faced with little Tika.
Tika was brought to a clinic in considerable distress. She was in labor, struggling to deliver her pup, which was not only extremely large but also positioned poorly in the birth canal. The urgency of her situation demanded immediate surgery-something her owners would not commit to. As a result of the clinic reaching out on her behalf, she was transferred into our care.
Tika has undergone the surgery, but heartbreakingly, the pup she carried was not alive at delivery. Understandably, she is traumatized and upset. She has begun to find comfort in foster care, where she is receiving medication for her pain, along with abundant love and attention for her wounded spirit. Soon, she'll have a medical recheck, as now that the urgent care has been addressed, we've discovered that she has other health issues that need attention. We've got you covered Tika!
