May I have your attention please?
A few days ago two pocket pittie pups were surrendered to our care. This hybrid breed is becoming very popular and although tiny pit bulls are cute, dwarfism of any breed can have serious consequences for the dogs. In this case, both puppies were born with varying degrees of Swimmers Syndrome along with other orthopedic deficits. One of the pup's deformities were so severe that as difficult as it was, the most humane action was euthanization. The surviving pup also has severe medical issues but we are hopeful that he can be physically rehabilitated so that he won't face a future of suffering.
We would like to introduce to you the real Slim Shady and we are all very hopeful that one day he will stand up!
