Meet Pogo - A Gentle Soul Looking for His Special Person Pogo is a 5-year-old beagle with the sweetest heart and a gentle nature. Life hasn't always been easy for him, and he does come with some special medical needs, but what he gives back in love and companionship is truly priceless. Pogo has a few health challenges: he has ongoing eye and esophageal issues, takes daily medications, and eats a special diet to help keep him comfortable. He also has some skin sensitivities. Because of these, Pogo is looking for a home with someone who is ready to be his "nurse" - someone committed to following his medical protocols closely and giving him the extra care he needs to thrive. To help set him up for success, we may even be able to support his new family with some of the costs of his ongoing care. While he may require a little extra, Pogo is such a rewarding companion. He is gentle, kind, and happiest when snuggled into a cozy blanket after a nice "sniffari" (his favorite type of walk). Bananas are his snack of choice, and he'll never turn down a quiet afternoon nap by your side. Pogo would do best in a calm, quiet home where he can relax. He'd love to be the only dog, though he could also enjoy the company of another quiet pup. He has some mild separation anxiety, but with patience and consistency, he settles as he grows comfortable in his surroundings. Pogo is ready to meet the person who sees past his challenges and appreciates the incredible, gentle soul he is.
