Hi, I'm Vato-a 66-pound Labrador and Terrier mix with a big heart and a curious nose that loves the great outdoors! I can be pretty nervous when meeting new people, so I'm hoping to find someone patient and kind who'll give me the time and space I need to feel safe and come out of my shell. Once I do, though, I'm a total sweetheart who just wants to be as close to you as possible. I'm house trained, kennel trained, and a smart guy who knows my tricks well-even if I can be a little stubborn now and then. I've done well with dogs, cats, and kids in the past, and I love to play tug-of-war, keep away, and especially wrestle when I'm feeling comfortable. I have plenty of energy and would be thrilled to go on hikes, camping trips, or any adventure that lets me explore the world with my nose. When I'm not outside, you'll probably find me window-watching or curled up next to you for some post-adventure cuddles. I'm a loyal, playful, and loving boy just waiting for the right person to give me a chance to shine.
My adoption fee of $225+tax covers the cost of my care and stay here at the humane society.
All Pennington County residents must also pay an additional $8 licensing fee at time of adoption.
