Hi, I'm Spud-an 83-pound German Shepherd and Labrador Retriever mix with a big heart, a curious nose, and a stubborn streak that comes with being a distinguished older gentleman! Don't let my age fool you-I've still got plenty of energy and a real love for exploring the world around me. I like to wander off on little sniffing missions, but I'll always make my way back for some good pets and a snuggle (fair warning: I like to pant right in your face to get as close as possible!). I'm super sweet, very social, and love meeting new people-especially if they come with treats, since I'm definitely food motivated! I enjoy butt scratches, quiet strolls, and soft dog beds where I can rest my old shepherd hips after a day of activity. I may be independent at times, but I'm also well-mannered and affectionate, and I'd love a home where I can get the attention, exercise, and comfort I deserve in my golden years.
My adoption fee of $90+tax covers the cost of my care and stay here at the humane society.
All Pennington County residents must also pay an additional $8 licensing fee at time of adoption.
