Hi, I'm Red-a 50-pound terrier mix with a gentle soul and a heart that just needs a little time to feel safe. I'm very scared of new people and unfamiliar situations, so I'm looking for a quiet, patient home where I can slowly come out of my shell. Once I trust you, though, I turn into the biggest sweetheart-you'll see me get the zoomies with my little tucked-up butt, crawl into your lap for snuggles, and shower you with kisses. I absolutely love being outside and exploring the world with my nose, and I get especially excited when I hear baby talk (it's my favorite!). I'm super food motivated, which helps with my confidence, and once I feel secure, I'll roll over for belly rubs, lean into you for love, and show you my playful, snuggly side. The leash still scares me a lot, so I'll need someone who can help me through it with positive reinforcement and patience, but I promise I'm worth the wait. I've got a curious spirit and so much love to give-I just need the right person to help me feel brave.
My adoption fee of $225+tax covers the cost of my care and stay here at the humane society.
All Pennington County residents must also pay an additional $8 licensing fee at time of adoption.
