Hi there, I'm Sonata - a 37-pound Medium Mixed Breed with a gentle heart and a sweet soul. I might seem a little nervous when we first meet, but that's just because new situations and people can feel a bit overwhelming for me. Once I get to know you, though, I absolutely love being petted and praised - it really helps me feel more secure. My sister Marbles is my rock; she's my safe space and my best friend. I feel so much braver when she's around, so I'd really love to go to a home where we can stay together. I love following her lead and sticking close by her side, especially when things feel a little scary. I may need some extra patience and encouragement, but I promise I have so much love to give. Treats and kind words go a long way in helping me feel more comfortable, and with some training and confidence-building, I know I can come out of my shell. I'm still learning how to navigate the world, but with Marbles by my side and a patient, loving family to guide me, I know I can blossom into the sweet, loving companion I'm meant to be. My adoption fee of $225+tax covers the cost of my care and stay here at the humane society.
All Pennington County residents must also pay an additional $8 licensing fee at time of adoption.
