Hi, I'm Zuri, a 44-pound Blue Heeler and Husky mix with a heart that's still learning to trust. Right now, this environment has me feeling pretty scared and unsure, so I'm keeping to myself a lot and taking the world in at my own pace. I need a patient, understanding person who will let me come out of my shell on my terms-because once I do, you'll see the sassy, talkative diva side that's hiding underneath! I love being outside where I can sniff and explore every little thing, and I'd thrive with an active family who loves outdoor adventures as much as I do. New things, especially if they're loud or fast, make me nervous, so slow and gentle is the way to my heart. I'm very independent, but every now and then I'll quietly come ask for attention, and once I start feeling safe, I'll give kisses, stand up for pets, and even mouth off like the husky I am when I've got something to say. I may be a bit stubborn and strong-willed, but with time, love, and patience, I'll show you just how special and full of personality I really am.
My adoption fee of $225+tax covers the cost of my care and stay here at the humane society.
All Pennington County residents must also pay an additional $8 licensing fee at time of adoption.
