Howdy!! I'm Bristol, a 48-pound Australian Cattle Dog mix with a gentle soul and a heart that's still learning to trust. Right now, I'm a little shy and tend to keep to myself, but that doesn't mean I don't have a curious side! I love to explore, whether it's inside or outside, taking in all the sights and smells at my own pace. If you want to win me over, just give my back legs a good rub-I'll stretch them out as far as I can to let you know you found my favorite spot! I may not rush into affection, but if you're patient and let me come to you on my own terms, I'll start to show you my sweet and easygoing nature. Fast movements make me a little nervous, but if we take things slow, I know I can build trust and confidence in a loving home. Even though I might seem reserved now, don't let that fool you-I have an active and playful side just waiting to come out! I absolutely love tennis balls and will happily bring them back to you for another round of fetch, which really helps me relax and show my personality. I'll need a home that can keep me busy with plenty of exercise and mental stimulation because if I get bored, I might find my own ways to entertain myself! Small spaces make me anxious, and I'll let you know when I need to stretch my legs-I'll even go door to door until you get the hint! I may take a little time to fully settle in, but with patience, understanding, and lots of playtime, I know I'll make a wonderful and loyal companion!
My adoption fee of $225+tax covers the cost of my care and stay here at the humane society.
All Pennington County residents must also pay an additional $8 licensing fee at time of adoption.
