Hi there, I'm Sabbath, a 68-pound terrier with a big heart hiding behind a timid exterior. I'll admit, I'm scared of new things-especially people-and I can be pretty defensive and territorial if I don't know you yet. Leashes make me nervous, so I'll need some patient training and positive experiences to help me feel comfortable with them. But you know what wins me over? Fetch! It's my absolute favorite, and I'll happily bring the ball back and drop it every time-it's the quickest way to my heart. I'm also a curious explorer who loves sniffing out the world around me. Once I feel safe, I'm all about affection-I'll cover you in slobbery kisses and rub against you to get as close as I can. I've got plenty of energy for fun, but I'm also a great snuggler after a good romp. I'm house-trained, have lived with cats (and did awesome with them!), and do best with a little help from anxiety meds. If you can be patient, gentle, and let me warm up at my own pace, I'll be the most loving, loyal companion you could ask for!
My adoption fee of $225+tax covers the cost of my care and stay here at the humane society.
All Pennington County residents must also pay an additional $8 licensing fee at time of adoption.
