Say hello to Parka! Parka is 1 year old, 67 pound, female, Great Pyrenees. This giant cloud of four-legs is the sweetest and most gentle girl who adores her people. Big or small, she's determined to nuzzle up against everyone, give them a hug and look lovingly into their eyes until they fall in love with her.
Parka loves her people indefinitely and enjoys early morning walks and late evening strides. Whilst she enjoys a little sunbathing, with her big fluffy coat she much more prefers to sit in the shade. Parka likes to hoard her toys, gobble her food and share her love. Parka is a jealous queen and would be ideal as the sole dog of a home to soak up all the love and affection.
Walk-ins are available from Tuesday to Friday from 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM. Saturday and Sundays have walk-in hours from noon to 4 PM. ADOPTION PROCESS: If you are interested in adopting from Second Chance
SPCA, please come during open hours. Adopters will visit with an adoption counselor and complete a short application. Adopters must live within the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and be at least 21 years old. Renters must provide proof of pet deposit and/or written permission by landlord to have a pet.
ADOPTION FEES: Includes spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, fecal, and heartworm test (dogs) or FeLV/FIV test (cats). All cats and dogs are current on heartworm and flea preventative. $275 for puppies under 6 months of age and $225 for dogs older than 6 months. $175 for kittens under 6 months of age and $150 for cats older than 6 months.
