Meet Cheddar! Our 18 pound, 9 month old, male, Brindle coated Chihuahua. Are you looking for a new best friend who will shower you with kisses and melt your heart daily? Then Cheddar is the dog for you. He is a sweet little pup with a big heart and an even bigger need for affection. This adorable bundle of joy thrives on cuddles, toys, and being carried like a little prince and being your shadow wherever you go.
Cheddar can be a little shy at first, but he warms up quickly with tail wags and gentle kisses. Having unfortunately spent some of his formative puppy months in animal shelters, we suggest some basic doggie training to help him adapt to a home environment. Cheddar loves his people and loves to be involved in whatever you are doing. Whether it is being curled up on the couch or out for a walk, Cheddar is happiest when he's by your side, soaking up every ounce of attention you're willing to give.
Walk-ins are available from Tuesday to Friday from 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM. Saturday and Sundays have walk-in hours from noon to 4 PM. ADOPTION PROCESS: If you are interested in adopting from Second Chance
SPCA, please come during open hours. Adopters will visit with an adoption counselor and complete a short application. Adopters must live within the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and be at least 21 years old. Renters must provide proof of pet deposit and/or written permission by landlord to have a pet.
ADOPTION FEES: Includes spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, fecal, and heartworm test (dogs) or FeLV/FIV test (cats). All cats and dogs are current on heartworm and flea preventative. $275 for puppies under 6 months of age and $225 for dogs older than 6 months. $175 for kittens under 6 months of age and $150 for cats older than 6 months.
