This 70-pound Great Dane/Lab mix is as affectionate as he is intelligent - he already knows how to sit, lay down, and shake, and he's always eager to learn more.
Archie LOVES to play, whether it's romping around the yard or tossing toys in the air. He has great manners around the house and can be a total cuddle bug, but he's also perfectly content hanging out in his own bed if you need some space.
Archie is still learning how to be his best self around other dogs. He's participated in playgroups and is making great progress, but he'll thrive with a patient, committed adopter who can help him continue working on his reactivity with positive guidance.

Walk-ins are available from Tuesday to Friday from 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM. Saturday and Sundays have walk-in hours from noon to 4 PM. ADOPTION PROCESS: If you are interested in adopting from Second Chance
SPCA, please come during open hours. Adopters will visit with an adoption counselor and complete a short application. Adopters must live within the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and be at least 21 years old. Renters must provide proof of pet deposit and/or written permission by landlord to have a pet.
ADOPTION FEES: Includes spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, fecal, and heartworm test (dogs) or FeLV/FIV test (cats). All cats and dogs are current on heartworm and flea preventative. $275 for puppies under 6 months of age and $225 for dogs older than 6 months. $175 for kittens under 6 months of age and $150 for cats older than 6 months.
