Button is a 2-year-old, 10-pound male Chihuahua with the sweetest soul and the calmest demeanor. Quiet, gentle, and affectionate, Button is the perfect companion for someone looking for a mellow, loving little friend.
Button had a rough start-he found on the streets with an injury to his tail that required amputation. Afterwards, he developed an abscess that ruptured and led to a scar on the side of his face. Because of this, he's a bit sensitive about being touched and prefers to be handled with care and respect. He's not one for chaos, so he'd do best in a calm, predictable home without small children.
Despite his quirks, Button is full of love. He enjoys cozying up with his favorite humans, soaking in a peaceful environment, and being your quiet little shadow. His ideal home is one where he can feel safe, secure, and deeply loved.

ADOPTION PROCESS: If you are interested in adopting from Second Chance
SPCA, please come during open hours. Adopters will visit with an adoption counselor and complete a short application. Adopters must live within the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and be at least 21 years old. Renters must provide proof of pet deposit and/or written permission by landlord to have a pet.
ADOPTION FEES: Includes spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, fecal, and heartworm test (dogs) or FeLV/FIV test (cats). All cats and dogs are current on heartworm and flea preventative. $275 for puppies under 6 months of age and $225 for dogs older than 6 months. $175 for kittens under 6 months of age and $150 for cats older than 6 months.
