Tiny in size but big in spirit, Mitzi is a spunky little survivor with a heart full of love. At 8 years young, she's overcoming a rough start in life-underweight and with some hair loss from past neglect-but don't count her out. With some TLC, good meals, and a cozy place to call home, this feisty girl will be blooming in no time.
Mitzi is the perfect mix of independent explorer and devoted sidekick. She lives to be near her people and will let you know (with some adorable complaints!) when you're out of sight. She's just as happy curled up in your arms for a cuddle as she is trotting around, taking in the world with her curious eyes and tiny paws.
Despite everything she's been through, Mitzi is funny, affectionate, and full of personality. She's looking for a kind-hearted human who will give her the love she's always deserved-and in return, she'll give you loyalty, laughs, and lots of snuggles.
Walk-ins are available from Tuesday to Friday from 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM. Saturday and Sundays have walk-in hours from noon to 4 PM. ADOPTION PROCESS: If you are interested in adopting from Second Chance
SPCA, please come during open hours. Adopters will visit with an adoption counselor and complete a short application. Adopters must live within the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and be at least 21 years old. Renters must provide proof of pet deposit and/or written permission by landlord to have a pet.
ADOPTION FEES: Includes spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, fecal, and heartworm test (dogs) or FeLV/FIV test (cats). All cats and dogs are current on heartworm and flea preventative. $275 for puppies under 6 months of age and $225 for dogs older than 6 months. $175 for kittens under 6 months of age and $150 for cats older than 6 months.
