Meet Bjorn, our resident gentle giant. A 102 pound Great Dane, Rhodesian ridgeback dog, with a lot of love to give. With a lot of dog, comes a lot of affection, Bjorn loves his people and playmates to run around with. He is the sweetest boy, who constantly wants to be around someone to cuddle with and shower with love. If exercise and fitness is for you, Bjorn would make the perfect running partner as he love to keep pace and run next to you. Or cuddle up on the sofa with a giant teddy bear of a dog. Bjorn would do great with a family with a yard and the space to provide a loving home.
Walk-ins are available from Tuesday to Friday from 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM. Saturday and Sundays have walk-in hours from noon to 4 PM. ADOPTION PROCESS: If you are interested in adopting from Second Chance
SPCA, please come during open hours. Adopters will visit with an adoption counselor and complete a short application. Adopters must live within the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and be at least 21 years old. Renters must provide proof of pet deposit and/or written permission by landlord to have a pet.
ADOPTION FEES: Includes spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, fecal, and heartworm test (dogs) or FeLV/FIV test (cats). All cats and dogs are current on heartworm and flea preventative. $275 for puppies under 6 months of age and $225 for dogs older than 6 months. $175 for kittens under 6 months of age and $150 for cats older than 6 months.
