11/29/10.....Franklin and Bianca have moved to Colorado. They were good travelers and did very well staying in a hotel. They continue to get along very well with Krystal and Kashmir, the cats, most of the time. Sometimes the cats actually chase them down the hall. It looks pretty funny to see a cat chasing two Great Danes down the hall. So everyone is getting along fine and Franklin and Bianca are very much a part of our family. I just love them and am so grateful you had them and that you let me adopt them.

One really good development is that Franklin is great with men now. Since he has been here he has not shown even the slightest aggression or fear of men. He has met all the men who have come to the house with his tail wagging, and he has let them pet him and even touch him on top of the head. The first time a repairman reach for the top of his head I tried to stop him without making a big deal out of it and getting the dogs excited, but Franklin was getting pets and loving it before I could stop the guy. So I just let it go. The landlord has been here, as well as a couple of repair men, and the cable guy. Also, the dog walker/pet sitter says he has met several men while being walked around the neighborhood and he has been great with them. The neighbor kids love to pet both Bianca and Franklin and he has not once shown any sign of aggression, fear, or being upset in anyway.
I just love them so much and am thrilled that the issue with men seems to have gone away. I just thought I would tell you a good development.
Oh yeah, and there's one other good development. Not only are the dogs now sleeping in the bedroom with the cats and me, but the cats are not afraid of them unless the dogs are chasing each other around in the living room.
Update 7/4/2010 New photos posted with this note: Like I told you before, they are the best dogs. I couldn't have found two better dogs and I love them very much.
Franklin and Bianca are doing great! They are the most wonderful dogs. There are a couple of things we are working on, like Franklin burying his bones in my flower beds, and Bianca barking at Franklin to play. However, they are getting better about those things and they are small and not too important. I couldn't ask for better dogs and I love them so much already. They are very well behaved and I feel so fortunate to have such wonderful dogs.
They cuddle with me on the couch and they behave very well in the house. They are so happy all of the time and they love running very fast in a bit circle in the yard. Bianca is pretty rough with Franklin, but he just goes along with it and doesn't seem to mind. I will send you some pictures in the next week and I'll write more to you then. Just know that I feel very lucky to have such wonderful furry family members. Even the cats are getting OK with them, slowly, but it's happening.
Thank you and all of the other members of your organization for all of the suggestions when I was searching for help. I appreciate your help and I truly admire each one of you for being a part of such and important and noble cause. The world needs more people like the ones I have met or talked to since I contacted your organization.
