Sammi is doing very well adjusting to her new home with us. Our great dane/german shorthair mix (Harley) just loves her and she loves him. They are inseperable--you'd think they grew up together! It took a day or so for Sammi to start eating regularly but she is now and is noticeably putting on some weight. (Hooray) I was concerned that Harley would be food aggressive so we started feeding them in separate rooms but, found they wouldn't eat without each other so now Harley just lays behind Sammi until she's done eating. She is incredibly playful and loves her kong/ nylabone. It's so fun to watch the two run through the field behind our house, they are so fast and playful with each other. She's also met a variety of dogs and gets along with them perfectly so we frequently have playdates with our neighbors dogs(bulldog,chihuahua, yorkie, and an american eskimo.
She's the perfect addition to our family and couldn't imagine a better dog for us, especially since both her and Harley let me sleep all day before a night shift without a peep. :) Everyone that meets her falls in love instantly- just like we did. Thanks again for allowing us to adopt her, we love her so much!
